   200 years ago , at the start of the industrial revolution , the atmospheric CO2 level was 220 ppm . today it is over 340 ppm . when it gets to 400 , we go into a runaway greenhouse effect . this is not from a wacko scientist in europe , this is from pentagon sponsored research .
