If the curve is a newer phone you should probably get it because it’ll have newer updated features and software. But if your comfortable with the phone you have now, why change?
Forget Palm and Blackberry. . . eeewww. .
Get an Android! Like Droid 2. . . . or the Droid Pro (if you want to keep that Palm Piki/Blackberry feel)
